After breakfast, head toward Lake Manyara National Park, a two-hour drive through small villages and farmlands. Nestled along the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a small but ecologically rich park known for its variety of habitats. Game drives take you from dense forest filled with baboons and blue monkeys to open plains where elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests roam. The lake itself glimmers with flocks of pink flamingos, pelicans, and other bird species. You might even spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions resting on branches. A picnic lunch is enjoyed within the park, allowing you to maximize wildlife viewing time. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge or tented camp in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
