5 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Marangu Route

OVERVIEW

The 5-day Marangu Route, often called the “Coca-Cola Route,” is the most classic and comfortable path to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Unlike other routes, it offers accommodation in mountain huts with solar power and simple beds, making it ideal for climbers seeking a shorter and more comfortable trek. The trail begins on Kilimanjaro’s southeastern side and passes through lush rainforest, open moorlands, and the alpine desert before reaching the snowy summit of Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters. Although it’s a direct route with fewer days for acclimatization, it remains a popular choice for determined trekkers. The Marangu Route blends convenience, scenic beauty, and the thrill of summiting Africa’s tallest mountain — a journey filled with challenge, endurance, and incredible views.
